When the stage was finally moved away from behind that big honkin’ pillar two years ago, the Paradise transformed into a superior joint to soak in national or soon-to-be-national musical assemblages. In upcoming weeks, except to see indie big wheels like Future Islands, Washed Out, and the Drums, as well as beloved ’90s holdovers such as Matthew Sweet, the Mark Lanegan Band, and Garbage appear on the 904-capacity club’s marquee. Don’t worry — the building’s structural integrity shall survive the Adicts and World/Inferno Friendship Society double-header . . . but just barely.
