Catherine Opie
This event occurs in the past,
April 14
100 Northern Ave, Boston, MA
(view map)
Documentary photographer Catherine Opie seeks to capture the heterogeneous nature of America through her iconic and often edgy photographs. She’s shot Midwestern high-school football players, San Francisco lesbians, and California surfers — not to mention sprawling glaciers and suburban freeways — in pursuit of our shared, yet disparate, identity. She joins the similarly boundary-nudging writer Eileen Myles and curator Helen Molesworth in conversation tonight.
