The arts and the sciences: so disparate in form and function that they’re often divided by degree title and brain function, and never the twain shall meet. Never, that is until Karin Stothart’s solo exhibit at the Hallway Gallery, "Practical Nursing". Tonight marks the opening reception for the show, for which Stothart transformed diagrams from medical textbooks and first-aid manuals into stark, strangely emotive images representing human sexuality, vulnerability, and mortality. "Practical Nursing" runs through June 26.
