Boston is freakishly gifted with musicians of what we might call the South American diaspora and their enthusiastic Anglo cohort. Tonight, Choro Democratico dig into Brazil’s deep folkloric tradition — choros and maxixes, of course, and we’d guess some forró, sambas, and more, with composers ranging from Chiquinha Gonzaga and Ernesto Nazareth to Hermeto Pascoal. The players include flutist Fernando Brandão, guitarists Tom Rohde (six-string) and Jason Davis (seven-string), mandolinist Luciana Araripe, violinist Chris Richards, cavaquinho player Adam Bahrami, and percussionists Keita Ogawa and Gabriel Meireles.
