The GOODNIGHT PROCESS have their new EP, Another Beautiful Girl, in the can, but there’s just one problem: They’re broke! Like a few bands are starting to do, however, they’ve set up a page on kickstarter.com and are allowing people to pledge $5 to pre-order the disc until they’ve got enough dosh to do a pressing. You can pledge more than $5, though. There are tiers of pledging, and if you go to the top $600 level (you really like the Goodnight Process) you get a song written just for you by frontman DEAN FORD and they play a private show at your house. Better hurry, though. The band leave on a three-week tour out to Chicago; back on May 14.
The RUBINOOS have recorded a tune KURT BAKER (Leftovers, Goodnight Process) wrote called “Can’t Have Her Back” for their new record. Their last disc was the children’s album Biff-Boff-Boing, but they promise something more “adult” this time around.
While CINDY BULLENS is campaigning for state senator, she’ll also be pushing Howling Trains and Barking Dogs, a collection of her Nashville songwriting collaborations from the 1990s, which has been picked up by M.C. RECORDS and will be released June 29. Her co-writers include RADNEY FOSTER, BILL LLOYD, MATRACA BERG, KYE FLEMING, MARY ANN KENNEDY, and AL ANDERSON. If you’re a huge pop-country fan, you know these guys.
Producer THE LIN has put together a project with vocalist SYN THE SHAMAN (a/k/a KGB) called TRAILS and the two are readying an album that features guest spots from BREAD and former SLY-CHI gal KELLY MCKENNA, among others, plus a remix from ALIAS. Look for the release before long.
