The Golden Filter unwrap a Christmas cover

A few weeks ago Crystal Castles and Robert Smith scored a nice heap of blog buzz with their electro-romp cover of Platinum Blonde's '80s glam-wave joint "Not In Love." The kids, they loved it, and Fat Bob hadn't sounded so fresh since Wish.

Now, Brooklyn's uber-hip electro-pop duo the Golden Filter is following suit, offering up a holiday single in the name of Psychic TV's snuggly 1983 head-warped ballad, "White Nights." We didn't even have to listen to it to know what it sounded like, predicting some heavy tribal beats and a gaping soft-spot hole right in the middle, but we're digging the holiday bells and Penelope Trappes is always welcome to sing us to sleep. We definitely won't get sick of this until at least Pearl Harbor Day.

Get it below if you dig stocking stuffers, or jump further down to the video underneath if you'd rather not surrender your email to the Christmas spirit.
