Turns out, Cambridge is crawling with spies these days -- and not just of the Russian variety. Last night, Phoenix contributor Melissa Pocek got some primo surveillance on Lady Gaga, who just happened to grace Cambridge last night. Reports Melissa:

Last year, the Dirty Projectors and Bjork played a special show at the Housing Works bookstore, performing Mount Wittenberg Orca, a song cycle Dave Longstreth composed just for the occasion. Recently, they got back together to record those seven songs, and, unsurprisingly, it's really good - Bjork fits in perfectly here.

There are few things as photogenic as Wilco and the summertime. And whoever combines the two successfully will score passes and hotel accomodations to August’s Wilco-curated Solid Sound Festival at MASS MoCA.

The three-day North Adams-based festival features a headlining performance by Wilco -- in the Chicago alt-rock band’s only East Coast performance of the year -- as well as Avi Buffalo, the Books, Sir Richard Bishop and others.

Billy Corgan has spoken -- well, Tweeted -- and earlier today gave the all-important seal of approval for Passion Pit's sparkling synthpop waterfall cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' classic "Tonight, Tonight."

This Saturday, Bowery Boston and Zync team up to bring a sneak-attack show starring PASSION PIT at the new Royale (a relatively small place to see these guys nowadays). Tickets are going fast.
