Razormaze announce tour, new record
Fresh off being named "Best Metal Act" in our 2011 Best Music Poll and nominated for "Metal/Hardcore Artist of the Year" in this month's Boston Music Awards -- as well as being asked to perform live at the Liberty Hotel for the November 20 awards party -- Boston thrash dudes RAZORMAZE today announced an east coast tour and plans for a new record.
The new album will be recorded in January by Pete Rutcho (Revocation, Ravage) and features eight tracks of new material, the follow-up to 2010's Miseries EP. In August, Razormaze contributed the blistering track "Miseries of the Flesh," off Miseries, to our Born of Fire Vol. 1 compilation. "We keep trying to one-up ourselves with each release," says vocalist/guitarist Alex Citrone, who describes the new material as "definitely more aggressive, heavier, and more technical."
