Class of 2012: Caleb Groh performing live @ Ringer Park, Allston
A few month before CALEB GROH added some soul to today's Class of 2012 feature in the Phoenix, he met up with us in scenic and beautiful Allston to launch our pop-up video series. The good people at Folk to Folk brought Groh out to Ringer Park for a quick three-song set, and the rising singer-songwriter did not disappoint.
Here's what music writer Liz Pelly wrote back in November: Allston's Ringer Park never felt so pleasant and picturesque as on one late-summer Friday afternoon, when Team Phoenix Pop-Up Vids met up with local songwriter Caleb Groh. The young singer-guitarist stood high on a rock amid some trees, swirling folksy guitar plucks with his twangy Americana-tinged vocal rasp, for three entrancing songs: "Salt Water Gallivanter," "Bathsheba Blues," and "Quick-Tempered Conqueror."
