The Brattle Theater is offering a free, first-come first-served screening tonight of DREW BARRYMORE's directorial debut, Whip It, starring Juno's Ellen Page as a "misunderstood small town teenager" who trades beauty pageants for hip-checks. Hometown terrors the BOSTON DERBY DAMES -- who met up with Barrymore and presented her with a Derby Dames t-shirt during a recent benefit -- will be on hand to introduce the film. Barrymore also stopped in to chat with WFNX during the same visit. (In case you missed it, we're posting it here again).
The Whip-It screening is at 7 pm; doors open at 6:00 pm for Brattle members and 6:15 for the general public.
